Why do my search results include job postings out of my area?
On Job Bank, you can search jobs by selecting a specific location. You can filter the results by adjusting the distance from your selected location.
Job search results include remote jobs from across the country because they allow you to work from wherever you want.
You can exclude the remote jobs from your job search results by using the appropriate filter. To do so:
- Go to the Find a job page.
- From the left side of the job search results, under the "Workplace information" section, select the filter "Exclude remote jobs".
Note: Remote jobs follow the wage regulations of the province where the employer is located. They may be different from the wage regulations in the province where you live.
